The other night on Twitter I got four semi tractor-trailers, an assortment of volunteer drivers, thousands of bottles of water, a warehouse for storage space, donations to various disaster relief organizations on the ground in Oklahoma. All from Twitter. All from amazing, connected, generous souls who simply wanted to help tornado victims. I hadn’t even began to use my radio show’s platform yet, as the tornado appeared after I was off air. This, this is the power of social media.

Twitter is like a giant Costco of generosity, without the membership fees.
