We’ve been lectured to that the media isn’t biased and to call inaccurate, clearly biased, or just made-up reporting “fake news” is some sort of attack on the entire institution of journalisming, or something. Behold, the free press in every way but political ideology:
Not really the smartest move when your industry is grappling with trust and legitimacy as watchdogs for the people, is it? The ratio was stunning, so reporter Rachael Bade deleted it.
I’m deleting a tweeting tonight that is being misinterpreted by some as an endorsement of some kind. To be absolutely clear, we at the Post are merely glad we are getting a break for the holidays after a long 3 months. I will retweet the group photo w/ a better caption !

No one mistook her deleted Tweet captured above as an “endorsement” of any kind. It was merely an expression of bias. If what she says is true and they were simply celebrating the impending holiday break, using a phrase that trended all day amongst progressives was a weird way to do it.
*Update:
Because normally reporters Tweet “Merry Impeachmas” when celebrating getting off work for the holidays ???? https://t.co/6g5AOmiBCD
