From his press conference today:

We’re going to need to look more closely at a culture that, all too often, glorifies guns and violence. And any actions we must take must begin inside the home and inside our hearts.

This seems pretty disingenuous, considering the President’s affinity for music with lyrics like these:

“Drop It Like It’s Hot,” by Snoop and Pharrell (even the censored version includes the below):

Oh you got a gun so you wanna pop back?
AK47 now——-, stop that!
Cement shoes, now I’m on the move
Your family’s crying, now you on the news
They can’t find you, and now they miss you
Must I remind you I’m only here to twist you
Pistol whip you, dip you then flip you

Wouldn’t this be the glorification of violence in culture?

It’s kind of hard to lecture about violence in culture when you party, campaign with, and quote the purveyors.
