Like Sauron’s eye, progressive pundits and legacy media are withdrawing their gaze from Pete Buttigieg as their “moderate” champion and are now starting to build hype for … Michael Bloomberg. As a moderate. “Moderate” in Democrat speak nowadays just means “slower socialist.” This is the same guy that defended communism just a few months ago:

“The Communist Party wants to stay in power in China and they listen to the public. When the public says ‘I can’t breathe the air,’ Xi Jinping is not a dictator, he has to satisfy his constituents or he’s not going to survive.”

[…]

“They’re people can go to their government and say ‘If American can do it, why can’t we?'”

It’s a truly bizarre clip and his defense seems to hinge upon some anecdotal “they do things about the environment.” It seems to be working for now, March 3rd Super Tuesday will determine if his candidacy is a real threat. There is no way Bloomberg could withstand the heat or scrutiny of a campaign at that level as he crumbles under civil one-on-one interviews. He has a history of racist comments, banning everything, doesn’t bother with facts, ordered his paper to not cover his candidacy and dissolved its editorial board, and his only success as a leader came from riding Giuliani’s coattails. Some “moderate.”
