Go put a bag of popcorn in the microwave. Trust me.

Following the brutal murder of a young girl in San Francisco by an illegal alien who had been deported five times, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) grilled Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) director Sarah Saldaña during a Senate Judiciary Committee about the number of criminal illegal aliens released by the federal government. A video of the fireworks show is below, but here are some of the bigger bombs:

CRUZ: In the year 2014, how many criminal illegal aliens did the Obama administration release?

SALDANA: In 2014 it was a little over 30,000.

CRUZ: How many murderers?

SALDANA: In that year, sir, I can't remember the number right now, but I know that we had the statistic that was said earlier the four year period from 2010-2014 that there were 121 persons who committed crimes afterwards… but I can't provide you the exact number.

CRUZ: How many rapists?

SALDANA: Umm. I am not sure right now…

CRUZ: How many drunk drivers?

SALDANA: Same answer…

CRUZ: Yesterday, how many murderers did the Obama administration release?

SALDANA: Senator I don’t know the answer to that question. But I. I want the American people to know and understand our job and our mission if I may. We don't release people willy nilly. We release people pursuant to these statutes and regulations. There are only a limited number of crimes that were are required to detain people. It is mandatory. They are spelled out here very clearly. Many of related to drug distribution and conspiracies.

The 2016 presidential hopeful continuously corrected Saldaña's disinformation: “I want to note that in your testimony here where I asked you how many criminals ICE released in 2013, you were off by a factor of three. You said 30,000 and the correct answer is 104,000.” Cruz ended his time asking for the Obama administration to “start enforcing the law and stop releasing murderers, and rapists, and drunk drivers.”

Since your bag of popcorn should be done by now, you can watch the full testimony here:
