Revealing Politics spoke to Gov. Rick Perry about Colorado’s assault on the Second Amendment civil rights. Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper was expected to sign the legislation on Friday but did not. The law is a virtual ban of all firearms in Colorado because it specifically targets “readily convertible gun magazines” which is an easy move for an all-out ban as mags can be pulled apart and easily converted to hold more than the capacity allowed by the law. It was either a mistake born of ignorance or a trick on the populace by lawmakers who thought gun owners wouldn’t know better.
Hickenlooper has an out here in that he can say the law was poorly worded and needs to be amended to prevent a total ban. Will he take it?
