When I look at today’s feminism I ask myself “How did I ever subscribe to this s***.” When I was a kid I heard so often that girls don’t have to play dumb to attract boys’s attention, smart is sexy, et cetera et cetera. Apparently this works opposite in progressive politics because never before have I seen women play so dumb so hard as the women purposefully ignoring the facts in the Hobby Lobby case, thus my strong reaction last night. We need women’s group leaders who can do more than bleat out old 60s protest chants, we need group leaders who know fact and stop making women into victims where there is no cause.
