The President likes to use that “90” number when talking about support for gun control but the only real 90-something number was the number of Democrats who voted against his budget. Sixteen Democrats voted to uphold the Second Amendment and spit in the fact of that silly background check lie the administration floated, if we’re going to talk about “lies.”
Concerning that “90% of Americans support gun control/background checks (when they already exist), here’s the meat and taters on that: the poll was a minuscule size of barely over 1,200 people and it oversampled Democrats. It was done for MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” So there’s that.
I say this somewhat facetiously, that I think we can all celebrate how President Obama brought the parties together against gun control in the senate.
Now if Democrats want a new crusade for which they can shamelessly exploit the deaths of children, may I suggest this one?
