These dudes are obsessed with the act. From the Washington Examiner:

“We also see how revved up the tea baggers are at the thought of hijacking health care reform and every chance we have at making progress in Washington.”warned Kerry this morning. (h/t JN)

Also this from Hot Air:

“I’m no stranger to hard fought campaigns, but what we’ve seen in the past few days is way over the line and reminiscent of the dangerous atmosphere of Sarah Palin’s 2008 campaign rallies. This is not how democracy works in Massachusetts,” Kerry said this afternoon in a statement.

“Scott Brown needs to speak up and get his out of state tea party supporters under control. In Massachusetts, we fight hard and win elections on the issues and on our differences, not with bullying and threats,” Kerry said.

Obviously Kerry knows that the tea party movement isn’t Brown’s or anyone else’s to control, it’s just another jab at conservatives a la “arm of the GOP” rhetoric. One dude hollering about one of Coakley’s failures is hardly dangerous, though Kerry’s concern about public political assemblies would have been most welcome when people were getting beaten down in parking lots last summer but hey.

This is not how democracy works in Massachusetts!

I know that’s not how <fingers>democracy</fingers> in Massachusetts works but the practice of perverting public office by making it a career and circumventing the people’s voice by legal procedures to prevent a Republican from obtaining the seat isn’t democracy and Kerry’s voice was silent then which leads me to believe he’s unable, either by sheer ignorance or malice, to recognize democracy at all.
