After reading this garbage (did you know the tea party killed Kennedy?), I saw this ridiculous stupidity:

Oswald purchased the gun he used to kill Kennedy for $19.95 through the mail. That’s harder to do today, with postal restrictions on the mailing of weapons. But most states permit sales within their borders without background checks.

It’s an op/ed from the board, fitting, because no one person would dare take the credit of such a fetishized, poorly-written piece. “Harder to do today” should be “illegal.” You can’t mail guns or ammo through the mail, purchase online, ship anything unless done through an FFL. I assume that all the people opining on this know what that means which saves me from doing their homework and linking to/explaining it. It is also illegal for anyone to purchase a firearm across state lines unless they are legally allowed to do so in their home state.

But heaven forbid we accurately note the law. It hinders the exacerbation of uneducated bigotry-fueled fear.
