There is another possibility. At the Kill the Bill rally I attended in St. Paul, we had a couple of provocateurs dressed in what appeared to be Palin t-shirts at first blush, but on closer inspection turned out to be sexual references to the former VP nominee. They started yelling “you’re so hot!” at the top of their lungs when Michele Bachmann spoke until the people around them maneuvered them to the back of the crowd. It’s not outside of the realm of possibility that these lawmakers did hear racial slurs shouted — and it could have come from people intending to discredit the thousands that have taken to the streets to protest this arrogant takeover by Congress. In either case, we’re dealing with fringe nuts who don’t deserve the attention they’re receiving.
