As the Wuhan Coronavirus infection spreads (we knew it would, this is why we are “social distancing”) countless headlines have terrified Americans by amplifying hospitals’ “do not resuscitate” orders:
As the coronavirus pandemic continues to sweep the United States, some hospitals are considering whether to make changes to policies and practices when it comes to do-not-resuscitate situations.
Such conversations come as hospitals brace for a surge of patients, despite dwindling supplies of personal protective equipment for doctors and ventilators for seriously ill patients.
Not so, says Dr. Birx:
Dr. Birx on ventilators in New York: "To wake up this morning and look at people talking about creating DNR situations, Do-Not-Resuscitate situations for patients — there is no situation in the United States right now that warrants that kind of discussion." pic.twitter.com/I3tcEMIPZe

A free people deserve a free media during this pandemic, a media unbeholden to ego and bias that can report what is happening without fear-mongering or outright lying. The question used to be whether or not legacy media could regain credibility, after this pandemic, the question will be whether they could even hope to recover it.
