Twitchy broke the news that MNBC had deceptively edited video of a hearing so as to make it appear that Neil Helin, father of a slain Sandy Hook student, was heckled by pro-Second Amendment advocates. Initially, Piers Morgan and others believed the story and spoke out about it, until realizing that it was yellow journalism from the finest practitioners over at MSNBC.

Lawrence O’Donnell is still pushing it:

MSNBC apparently didn’t learn its lesson after the Zimmerman incident. Will they retract?

*UPDATE: Morgan kept to the “heckled” falsehood on his program. Not sure why the inconsistency.
