My staff has reached out to St. Louis City Mayor Francis Slay about the offensive racial Tweet from St. Louis City Treasurer Tishaura Jones. She spent working hours after this Tweet arguing with offended residents on Twitter. His office has not responded.
The St. Louis City GOP has condemned the remark.

*UPDATE: Maggie Crane of Mayor Slay’s office responded to repeated requests from my staff a bit ago, remarking that the Mayor will not be commenting on the remarks of the St. Louis City Treasurer and that she is entitled to her opinion.
