Lawyer, commentator, and radio host Rodney Boyd today slammed the New York Times piece on St. Louis City schools by John Eligon as an uninformed write-up that baselessly blamed race. Boyd, born in raised in the North County area which the failing schools in questions serve, detailed the decades of institutionalized corruption and lack of parental engagement which contributed to the schools’s losing their accreditation and bussing students to better performing schools in neighboring districts.
Boyd explained that using identity politics excused the many problems which have for years plagued the districts.
